Dawn Cook is a published author on life care planning, medical bill reviews, and medical treatments. Dawn values contributing and sharing her knowledge, she has been published several times in the Journal of Nurse Life Care Planning and has been a member of the Journal Peer Review Committee since 2014.

In 2022, at the Annual AANLCP Conference, Dawn was recognized by the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners by receiving their Distinguished Service Award. The award recognizes an active member who demonstrates outstanding support through significant contributions to the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners.
